Klarna is a Swedish fintech founded in 2005, best known in the UK for its Buy Now Pay Later service. Used by over 85 million customers worldwide and 11 million in the UK.
In 2025, Klarna launched its first UK virtual debit card and digital wallet, backed by Visa. Klarna Financial Services UK Ltd is authorised by the FCA as an electronic money institution. Your wallet balance is safeguarded under e-money rules.
Klarna are giving away £10 free cash when you sign up to their new virtual debit card and make 3 small transactions. The bonus lands instantly after your third transaction.
Each transaction only needs to be £5 or more, so just use the card during your normal shopping over the next 30 days. There is a soft credit check to set up the card, which does not affect your credit score.
Once paid, you can spend the £10 on your next purchase or send it straight back to your bank.
One thing to watch: top-ups do not count towards the 3 transactions. Topping up to buy a gift card via EverUp, or sending a bank transfer, will not qualify. Buying three £5 Amazon gift cards directly on the card does currently work though.

Completed the offer? Awesome! Here's our full review on why Klarna could work well for you going forward.
Klarna is a useful add-on for anyone who already shops with retailers that accept it. The new virtual debit card is a nice extension of the wallet. Fine as a top-up spending card, but not a full bank account replacement.
For this £10 bonus, the maths is simple: load £15 you would have spent anyway, make 3 transactions during your normal shopping, and get £10 back instantly. That is a 67% return on money you were going to spend regardless, with only a soft credit check. Easy yes.
