It started, as most of our best ideas do, with a spreadsheet.

Back in 2015, I stumbled across matched betting on a forum. The short version: bookmakers give away free bets to attract new customers, and if you know what you're doing, you can turn those into real cash. I was sceptical, but I tried it anyway. First offer: £19.50 profit from a free bet. Not life-changing, but it was real and I hadn't risked a penny.

I told Daniel. His reaction? “Sounds too good to be true, mate.” Two weeks and a very detailed spreadsheet later, we'd made over £500 between us. All from our phones, mostly during lunch breaks.

So we built Team Profit, a free site that helped ordinary people do exactly what we'd done. Step-by-step guides. Plain English. No jargon. Over the next five years, more than 100,000 people used it to earn over £10 million. We sold it in 2021.

But matched betting was just the start. Banks were giving away cash just for opening an account. Apps were paying people to sign up. Investment platforms were handing over free shares. There was free money everywhere, and if it was that hard for two reasonably tech-savvy people to find, how many people were missing out completely?

So we built Quidsy. Same approach, but for every type of offer, not just the betting ones. Sign-up bonuses, cashback, referrals, the lot. We do the homework. You follow the steps and collect the cash.
