Trading 212 is an investing app for stocks and ETFs with commission-free trading and fractional shares. It's FCA regulated in the UK.
Please note, there is an alternative Investing Sign-up offer 'Invest £100, Get £50' you may prefer. See Offer Guide here.
Trading 212 is one of the easiest free money offers out there. Sign up, deposit £1, and you'll receive a free fractional share worth at least £8 — though it can be up to £100. After 30 days you can sell the share and withdraw the cash. The whole thing takes about 10 minutes and you're guaranteed to come out ahead.

Completed the offer? Awesome! Here's our full review on why Trading 212 could work well for you going forward.
Trading 212 is one of the UK's most popular commission-free investing platforms, offering access to thousands of global stocks and ETFs. With over 4 million users and FCA regulation, it's become a go-to choice for people who want to start investing without paying trading fees.

Trading 212 UK Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under firm reference number 609146. Your eligible funds are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 if the firm were to fail. They use segregated accounts to keep your money separate from the company's own funds, and the platform supports two-factor authentication. As with any investment, the value of your holdings can go down as well as up — but the platform itself is well-regulated and secure.
Trading 212 is ideal for beginners and casual investors who want a straightforward way to buy stocks and ETFs without paying commission. If you're new to investing and want to start with small amounts (you can buy fractional shares from £1), it's a great entry point. It's also popular with people who want a free debit card linked to their investment account. It's less suited to advanced traders who need options, bonds, or crypto trading.
Buy and sell thousands of stocks and ETFs with zero commission
Invest from as little as £1 in any stock, even expensive ones like Tesla or Amazon
Build automated portfolios that rebalance themselves
Tax-free investing and saving wrappers built into the app
Earn interest on cash sitting in your account
Trading 212 is one of my favourite recommendations for anyone wanting to dip their toes into investing. The free share offer makes it a no-brainer — deposit £1, get a share worth at least £8, and you're up from day one. The app is genuinely good for everyday use too, with commission-free trading and fractional shares making it easy to invest small amounts regularly. The 30-day hold period before you can withdraw is the only downside, but it's a small price to pay for free money.
