Only for the first 1,500 accounts to claim it, so it may close early.
You do not have to invest the £500 to qualify. What matters is keeping your balance at £500 or more.

You can then decide what to do:
If you enjoy using Quilter Invest, carry on investing with them
If not, you can transfer to another platform, which keeps an ISA inside its tax wrapper
The £50 can be invested from the day it is paid

Quick review
Wondering whether Quilter is worth it beyond the bonus? Here is our honest take.
A zero-commission investing app from FTSE 250 wealth manager Quilter plc, covering Stocks and Shares ISA, JISA, and general accounts. Quidsy's tracking a £100 TopCashback offer on it. Good shout if you want a familiar UK name without dealing fees eating into trades. No SIPP or Lifetime ISA wrappers here, though.
Chris' verdictYour personal guide, QuidsyHonestly, Quilter Invest is one of the more sensible investment apps for someone who's just starting out. The no-trading-fee model is properly useful if you plan to buy or sell more than a couple of times a year, the ISA wrapper is solid, and the FTSE 250 parent gives the app something the newer challenger brokers can't really match on history.
The £2 a month subscription plus the 0.25% platform fee isn't the cheapest setup on the market. Quilter usually has a signup code running that waives the subscription and cuts the platform fee to 0.15%, and that reduced pricing sticks for as long as you hold the account, which makes it properly competitive. Check the TopCashback offer page for whichever code is current.
For the £100 TopCashback offer we feature here, the steps are simple: open a Stocks and Shares ISA, deposit £1,000, hold it for about four months for TopCashback to validate the sale, and you collect the £100 in the fifth month. Apply whichever signup code TopCashback is showing on the offer page, so the fees stay near zero while you wait. Because TopCashback posts the code itself, it doesn't clash with the cashback. That £100 sits on top of whatever the £1,000 itself does in your chosen investments, up or down.
Worth it if you were planning to open an ISA anyway and you're comfortable holding the £1,000 in for the four months.
